Just click on Download s-t-i-n-g-e-r.exe and download this tool to your desktop.

It checks for 50 + different viruses and repairs them. It is updated on a regular bases with the latest virus information.  It does fit on a floppy.
We still recommend that you run the Norton or McAfee online scan after using this tool and then do all your critical Windows updates.

 Info for running the tool.
We suggest that you download the s-t-i-n-g-e-r.exe to your desktop or floppy disk and run it in Safe Mode.
To get into safe mode you tap the F8 key, on the keyboard, as you boot up your computer.  (tap, tap, tap, etc) You will get a DOS screen that will give you options. If you go into windows first, try again until you get the black screen with white lettering.  Go to SAFE MODE.  From there you can run the Stinger tool by going to "my computer" and click on the "A" drive  then clicking on the stinger.exe or by clicking on the stinger.exe on the desktop. It will open the program, you just click on drive C, then the scan button.
WINDOWS XP:
If you have Windows XP, please turn off the "system restore" feature.  You can do this my going to Start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore, click on settings and turn off the system restore.  Then go to Safe Mode and run the tool.  When finished remember to turn the System Restore back on.
